Larry Blue was a Deacon at his church. When he realized there were people too disabled to attend weekly services, “shut-ins,” he didn't start a committee or write a proposal.
He bought an inexpensive van, made the repairs and alterations himself, and drove around town every Sunday morning picking up people in wheelchairs so they could attend church. Then he'd take them home afterward.
He also performed routine maintenance and repairs on the church throughout the year. He taught his son Keevin the value of working hard and not complaining. A man who always tried to help people and do what was right, every single day.
Larry passed away suddenly in his sleep in 2016. The Larry Blue Foundation was created to ensure his legacy of service lives on protecting the vulnerable, just as Larry always did.
